TOMATO CURRY

TOMATO  CURRY:
INGREDIENTS:            

4  ripe  tomatoes, chopped
2-3  cloves garlic, chopped
2  tbsp  oil
1/4  tsp each, turmeric powder and fenugreek seeds
1/2  tsp  mustard seeds
1  tbsp  coriander powder
1  tsp  chilli powder
1  cup tamarind pulp
Salt, to taste
Curry leaves, for garnishing

METHOD:
  • Heat oil and splutter fenugreek and mustard seeds.  Add garlic, saute for a minute, and then add coriander, chilli and turmeric powders.
  • Saute for a minute on low heat. Put the tamarind pulp.  Add tomato and season with salt.
  • Let it cook for 10 minutes or until tomatoes are done. Remove from fire, garnish with curry leaves and serve.
Notes:  Serve with chapattis.
